Quadratics: The Final Project
Finally, we are nearing the end of this unit. You will be showing me what you know.
Task 1: Who’s Who?
Find up to three people to work with. No more than three. You may work alone, but it is not recommended.
Task 2: Creating the Structure
One person needs to log into Google. Make a copy of the Template document on the website. Place the copy in the our shared folder. Share the
document with the other members of the group.
Task 3: Pick Your Poison
You have nine different quadratics you must create. There are two categories of quadratics. Those that generate real answers and those that generate imaginary
answers. Divide up the quadratics such that each person in the group does at least two real answer problems and one imaginary answer problems.
Task 4: Creating Your Problems
Now, create the parabolas that have the solutions required. As you create the quadratics you may type in your information on the shared document. When solving the quadratic by various methods you will do the work in your original hand and then take a picture of the work. You can then either email the picture to yourself or place it in your Google Drive folder. This will allow you to paste it into the appropriate section of the table. Please DO NOT try to type the work in for a long process. Graphs may be done on Desmos.com. You will need to capture the picture and place it in the appropriate box. DO NOT PASTE A LINK!
Task 5: Checking Someone Else's Work
After your group gets their problems completed you will be checking other's work. You may not check your own problems. You must check at least as many problems as you created. You will be doing this work on paper and turning it in. Penalties will be assessed if your work does not match the creator's work or if the creator's work is wrong and you don't catch the mistake. Big responsibility.
